poem "exile"
Submitted by EMILYCOWAN on Wed, 06/02/2010 - 13:20.
exile
this girl,
these canyons --
the walls
where is it darker,
inside or out?
alone or together?
whose monkey on whose back?
the same wound,
the hourglass turned over
and over
go ahead,
call it a hike,
a journey
she knows the truth

Re: poem "exile"
Hi Emily,
For me, your poem expresses the hopelessness of reenacting pain without a corrective experience within the loving arms of Self. The hourglass is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
