The Workshop

The Internal Family Systems Model is a method of therapy which fosters transformation, gently, quickly, and effectively. It purports that multiplicity of mind is our natural state and that our “parts” or sub-personalities may be healed and transformed by bringing the true Self into its rightful role as leader of the internal system. The Self, a core of valuable leadership qualities, is our true nature - compassionate and loving. IFS is a flexible model that provides abundant opportunities for creative exploration, honors the total ecology of our systems, (including defenses) and empowers people to become self-transforming. Hone your skills in the IFS method or experience it for the first time. The workshop will be a balance of lectures, experiential exercises, demonstrations and practice. Apply the method to your work and life as you learn to navigate the map of your own system under the guidance of experts. Beginners and advanced practitioners can progress at their own level. You don’t have to be a professional to benefit from this workshop.

The Wisdom of the Body aspect of the workshop will offer guided exercises designed to empower one to live from a deep feeling intuitive place rooted in the body. Playful experiential techniques, and body centered IFS exercises will be touchstones to the Self. What IFS calls “parts” often experience spontaneous transformation as one’s creativity is allowed to flow and be shared in a bonded community. No previous experience is needed. You have it all inside you.
