Staffing Compensation Scale

Stipend amounts vary according to regional differences. There are two stipend scales:

    • Cities where student tuition is $3200 per student
    • Cities where student tuition is $3400 per student
Scale 1 (Cities where tuition is $3200 per student)

First Time Program Assistant

- Tuition waived

Second + Time Program Assistant

- Tuition waived plus $55 per day stipend for each day in training

Scale 2 (Cities where tuition is $3400 per student)

First Time Program Assistant

- Tuition waived

Second + Time Program Assistant

- Tuition waived plus $55 per day stipend for each day in training

  • Compensation is not dependent on class size
  • Student to staff ratio should be approximately 3:1
  • Limit of 3 second + time Program Assistants per training – can have more if additional are willing to waive stipend
  • Total number of Program Assistants determined by the Lead and Assistant Trainers, taking into account size of training group, size of meeting space and mentoring and coaching needs
  • Trainers are given stipends that they can use for meals, rooms, mileage, etc. CSL no longer responsible for reimbursements (other than select airfare) – staff to book room and board in the same manner in which students do or handle own arrangements
  • Stipends are prorated for the number of days actually taught
  • Airfare may be reimbursed for other staff if they are traveling to a new Level 1 (Basic) Training location where there is limited local staff
  • If a trainer (second time PA through Solo) is local and goes home at night, the stipend will be $55 per day for each day in training – stipend to cover meals, mileage etc.
  • If a trainer misses a scheduled day, the stipend will be prorated for each day absent
  • This plan will be administered consistently in all trainings administered by CSL
  • This plan will go into effect with the first new training in 2005 (the Boston program)
  • To receive payment for teaching fees and stipends, staff will:
    • Complete an invoice after each teaching weekend
    • Submit the invoice to CSL no later than 30 days after the training weekend
    • CSL will issue a check to staff no later than 30 days after the invoice is submitted
