Transportation for 2012 IFS Conference

Parking is available at the adjacent Rhode Island Convention Center Garage. Currently, the hotel parking rates are; $28.00 for overnight valet parking, $26.00 for 24 hour self-parking with in/out privileges and $18.00 for 24 hour self-parking without in/out privileges. Hourly rates are available. All rates are subject to change.

Additional Option: For supplementary offsite parking locations and rates not affiliated with the hotel please visit PARK DOWNTOWN PROVIDENCE or METRO PARK AUTOMOBILE PARKING SPECIALISTS. These two sites may offer different rates as well as parking coupons.

GETTING AROUND PROVIDENCE

Visitors to Providence can access the city's Downtown, Federal Hill and East Side neighborhoods through RIPTA's Providence LINK Trolley. LINK trolleys run on CNG (compressed natural gas), a clean fuel, and offer two routes to Providence's restaurants, hotels, theaters, universities, historic sites, shopping and more. The cost is $2 per person, per ride or $6 for a one-day pass.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE WESTIN

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) runs low cost commuter trains to Providence from Boston and other points in Massachusetts. From Worcester, Massachusetts Turnpike, Western Mass., Upstate New York

  • Follow I-90 East (Mass. Pike) to Exit 10A near Worcester, MA, to Route 146 South.
  • Follow Rt. 146 South into Providence, where it merges into I-95 South.
  • Take Exit 22C-B-A, then bear left to Exit 22A (Downtown, Memorial Boulevard).
  • Go straight through the first light, at the second light, turn right onto Exchange Street.
  • At the stop sign, turn right onto Exchange Terrace.
  • Go straight through the next light and bear right; the Westin in on the right.

From Maine, New Hampshire, Boston and Northeaster Massachusetts

  • Follow I-95 South into Providence
  • Take Exit 22C-B-A, then bear left to Exit 22A (Downtown, Memorial Boulevard).
  • Go straight through the first light, at the second light, turn right onto Exchange Street.
  • At the stop sign, turn right onto Exchange Terrace.
  • Go straight through the next light and bear right; the Westin in on the right.

From Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts

  • Follow I-195 West into Providence, at the end of I-195 West, bear right ontoI-95 North.
  • Follow I-95 North and take Exit 22A
  • At the first light, turn right onto Francis Street
  • Turn right onto West Exchange Street at the next light.
  • Bear right, the Westin in on the right.

From Southern New York and Southern Connecticut

  • Follow I-95 North and take Exit 22A
  • At the first light, turn right onto Francis Street
  • Turn right onto West Exchange Street at the next light.

From Hartford and Eastern Connecticut

  • Follow I-84 East to I-384 East
  • Proceed on I-384 East to US 6 East
  • Follow US 6 East into Providence; at the end of US 5, move to the right hand lane (Downtown).
