Dear Friend

We hope you're enjoying a safe and healthy summer.  It has been a busy 2021 at the Institute and I thought I would share some of the work we are doing to grow and expand our community in order to bring more high quality learning events and IFS Trainings to you;

  • Increasing number of trainers: We know that many people have been waiting patiently for spots in our trainings and we so appreciate your interest and your patience.  Pam Krause and Toni Herbine-Blank, two of our most experienced lead trainers, in partnership with the Institute have developed a pilot program to support the development of more trainers. One of those programs, the Lead Trainer Program, is devoted to developing a number of our excellent and experienced Assistant Trainers, into Lead Trainers.  We anticipate that by the end of the year, we will have graduates from that program that will be able to deliver more programs for all of you in 2022.  We are also piloting a program to develop more Assistant Trainers and can share more about that in a later update.
  • Growing our team: The institute staff is small, but it is growing.  We added three important new roles to date in 2021.  Shuka Alee is our new Customer Experience Specialist, Andrea Tanguay is our new Chief of Staff, and Amanda Connell is Dick’s new Executive Assistant.  These new roles are creating greater capacity for our team to build offerings and services that better serve the community.  Welcome Shuka, Andrea and Amanda!
  • Building our community: Our Diversity and Inclusion committee is growing and we welcomed Dr. Phil Butler and Rosa Bramble to the committee this year.  The committee is chaired by Kate Lingren (Intimacy from the Inside Out Trainer) and also includes Chris Burris (Lead Trainer), Ashley Curley (Conference Manager). This committee is doing a lot of work in defining our goals and shaping events like the Annual Conference.  We will send out a specific message about the work we're doing and the work still to do in early September.

Below you'll find more information about our IFS Annual Conference, featured books and upcoming events with Dick Schwartz.

As always, thank you for your support. We hope you stay safe and well!

Warmly,

Katie
